Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Committee,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Lecturer II (Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology) position at the University of Benin. With a NEBOSH-accredited foundation in occupational health and safety management and applied expertise in risk assessment and hazard identification, I bring a rigorous, evidence-based approach to teaching and research that aligns directly with advancing public health outcomes in animal and human populations.

My professional background in HSE Management, combined with hands-on experience conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA), incident investigation, and environmental compliance, equips me to contribute meaningfully to your department. I have consistently applied these competencies through structured toolbox talks, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and proactive safety governance, fostering cultures of accountability and continuous improvement. I am eager to translate this systems-thinking orientation into engaging instruction and publishable research in veterinary public health and epidemiology.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my qualifications can support UNIBEN's academic mission. Thank you for considering my application; I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your faculty.

Sincerely,
Enyuma Godwin Enyuma
